Des is an Australian writer, musician and educator. Des studied Arts at La Trobe University, majoring in Philosophy, Literature and Studies in Western Traditions before going on to roles in complaints management and concreting as a means of broadening his skill set. He then was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Education and has been teaching in secondary schools for the past ten years. Always a keen musician, he went from teaching English and History in the classroom to a role teaching Instrumental Music (i.e. Guitar and Bass), including music theory, composition and improvisation. Along with his philosophical, literary, historical and musical interests, Des is part of the organising committee for the Southern Hemisphere’s longest running pagan gathering, the Mount Franklin Annual Pagan Gathering, and has written and spoken publicly about Wicca, Paganism and the occult for many years.
Des is also a freelance writer and blogger and is available to write articles, copy, ghost-writing and fiction, and also has expertise in proofreading and editing.
